Stunning place! Wild nature just a few hours' drive from Windhoek. Attentive staff, everybody at the hotel was friendly with us! Excellent service, delicious breakfast and dinner as well. Outstanding night sky, if you get lucky with the weather. Don’t skip the game drive and bushman walk, it is a must-do.
I had some issues with the reservation process. , there was a miscommunication regarding the possibility of doing the bushman walk in the afternoon.

Our stay at Camelthorn Lodge was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and efficient check-in. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing us with the best sleep we had during our entire trip in Namibia. The lodge itself is beautifully situated in a nature reserve, offering a truly immersive experience. The game safari with Andreas was a highlight, as he was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and vegetation. The dinner prepared under the stars with a fireplace in the yard was a memorable experience. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the delicious breakfasts. we highly recommend Camelthorn Lodge for a fantastic stay in the Kalahari.
While our stay at Camelthorn Lodge was mostly perfect, we did encounter a few minor drawbacks. The electric sockets in the room were not the best, requiring us to create a makeshift construction to keep our chargers securely plugged in.

Spent Xmas at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The location of the hotel was great, right in the heart of the Kalahari desert. We could freely explore the dunes and spot wildlife on our own, which was a unique experience. The hotel offered a range of activities, including game drives, which we unfortunately didn't have time to try. The dinner at the hotel was delicious and had a romantic atmosphere, with candlelight and a bonfire. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.
There were a few drawbacks to our stay. we only stayed for one night, which was a shame as we would have loved to stay longer and fully enjoy all the amenities the hotel had to offer.

We really got great value for our money at this lodge. The room was fantastic, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. The location in the middle of the Kalahari desert was breathtaking, and the staff treated us so well. We felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay.
If there was one small thing that could make the breakfast offerings even better, it would be to have a wider variety of fresh fruit.

What an incredible stay! the location in the heart of the Kalahari desert was simply breathtaking. Walking around and exploring the natural surroundings, with the animals roaming freely, was a priceless experience. the staff at the lodge were outstanding, their friendly and warm demeanor made us feel right at home. They were always ready to help and had the biggest smiles on their faces. We particularly enjoyed the bush walk and the sundowner activity, both of which were unforgettable. the rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. Truly a wonderful experience!
While there were so many positives, there were a couple of downsides to note. there was no plug in the bathroom, which made it a bit inconvenient for my wife to dry her hair.
